Bobby Shmurda was handed a four-year sentence on Friday (April 7) after being caught with a prison shank. But, there’s some good news.
According to TMZ, the rapper (born Ackquille Jean Pollard) won’t get any extra time. He appeared in court and pled guilty to attempted promoting prison contraband… and was given four years.
However, being that he’s already serving seven years for weapons charges (as part of a plea deal), his new sentence runs concurrently … which means it won’t be tacked on to the seven-year sentence he’s already serving.
Back in June 2015, his girlfriend allegedly tried to sneak a shank into Bobby. Both were busted.
Bobby has been behind bars since December 2014.
