After some teaser images surfaced recently, Converse has officially announced its upcoming collaboration with renowned Japanese streetwear brand Neighborhood.
The partnership finds Neighborhood putting their spin on Converse’s classic silhouettes, the One Star ’74 and Chuck ’70.
With roots in the motorcycle counterculture, Neighborhood brings motorcycle elements to the collabo. The One Star ’74 features a premium suede upper, contrasted by a leather lining, while the classic Star Chevron is further enhanced with embellished details and Neighborhood text adorns the foxing tape. The Chuck ’70 gets a rugged leather-infused canvas upper, while a “gear shift” toe overlay in both rubber and leather is added for extra resilience and protection during motorcycle riding.
Both kicks also see a Neighborhood logo sock-liner.
The Converse x Neighborhood footwear drop launches April 6 at Converse retail stores, select retailers and online.
