Adidas Recuits Young Designers, via the Adidas Design Academy

Adidas has announced the launch of the 2017 Adidas Design Academy,  a 24-month program focusing on apparel, footwear, color and materials or graphics.

Adidas describes the program as "a once-in-a-lifetime, hands-on experience" that gives designers a chance to create with the brand's existing design teams. And, possibly even land a job at Adidas after the program.

"We're looking for people who have a passion for sport and never settle for 'good enough,' " Adidas said in a press release.

The Adidas Design Academy includes multiple rotations with several major design studios, including one assignment abroad such as Shanghai, Tokyo, Portland or Herzogenaurach. The participants will also gain further knowledge in a four-week rotation within one of Adidas' Brand Design, Product Marketing, Product Development or Innovation teams.

The Adidas Design Academy will have programs at the brand's two major design hubs: Portland, Ore. (North America HQ) and Herzogenaurach, Germany (global HQ).
