Young Thug has officially dodged felony drug and gun charges, stemming from a 2015 arrest.
According to TMZ, charges were dropped after his lawyers argued that the arrest stemmed from an illegal search warrant.
In July 2015, Thugger was arrested and hit with felony cocaine possession, felony marijuana possession, and three counts of felony gun possession. This came after police raided his Atlanta-area home, with police finding guns and drugs… though it’s unclear what specifically was found.
Eventually, the District Attorney dropped all but the marijuana charge. However, Thugger’s lawyers argued that even the marijuana charge should be dropped, given authorities did not have a properwarrant.
In the end, the judge sided with the rapper and all charges were dropped.
