Fast and the Furious

If you’ve followed the Fast & Furious movie franchise since the first film in 2001, you know there’s a lot of destruction and explosions. In fact, there’s been so much that someone actually added up the damage total over the last seven films.

British insurance website, Insure the Gap, has tallied up all the damage generated over the course of the franchise and estimated that the total cost is around £419,446,914 GBP, which translates to $522,561,646 USD.

In the stats, we see that 169 regular cars were damaged, 142 regular cars were destroyed, 37 “special” vehicles (customs, buses, trains, helicopters, etc.) were destroyed, 51 buildings were damaged, 31 buildings were destroyed and 432 total items were damaged. The most expensive car destroyed was the Lykan Hypersport in Furious 7, valued nearly $3.5 million.

Surprisingly, the heroes raked up more damage than the villains with $325.6 million USD in damages, compared to $197.4 million USD.

As for a single character, Deckard Shaw (Jason Statham) takes the cake with $185.7 million USD.

That’s a whole lotta money, right?
