Following reports of the BMW that Tupac was shot in going on sale, the SUV that Notorious B.I.G. was gunned down inside has hit the auction block as well.
The owners of the infamous 1997 GMC Suburban has been using it as a normal family car for the last 20 years, not knowing it was a piece of hip-hop history.
The L.A. based family say they bought it in Oct. ’97 from a broker who acquired it in an auction. It wasn’t until 2005 that an LAPD detective called — in regarding to a wrongful death lawsuit by the rapper’s family — and they discovered the history of their Suburban.
It now has 114,000 miles on it, and while the bullet holes on its exterior were previously repaired, one remains. A single bullet hole is still in the front passenger seat belt — where the Notorious B.I.G. was sitting when he was shot in March 1997.
The 1997 Suburban is being sold through Moments in time for $1.5 million. Visit the website here.
