The Golden State Warriors took a major blow to their team this week, when they announced that Kevin Durant would miss at four weeks due to injury.
KD has been diagnosed with a sprained MCL and a bone bruise on his left leg, the team announced Wednesday (March 1).
He suffered the injury in the first quarter of the Warriors’ 112-108 loss to the Washington Wizards on Tuesday (Feb. 28). It occurred during a loose-ball situation, in which Wizards center Marcin Gortat fouled Warriors center Zaza Pachulia, who then fell backward into Durant’s leg.
KD tried to play through it, but after two possessions, he asked to be pulled out to be checked out by trainers… and did not return.
The Warriors said Durant is out indefinitely and would be re-evaluated in four weeks.
