Canelo Alvarez Says Mayweather-McGregor Fight is “a Joke”

Everybody’s talking about the potential clash of sports, if the Floyd Mayweather-Conor McGregor fight can be made. But, some aren’t with it.

Boxing star Canelo Alvarez recently offered his opinion about purported fight, saying he doesn’t like it… at all.

When asked by a TMZ cameraman, he said: “I think its a joke. It’s disrespect to boxing. Mayweather is retired.”

Canelo fought Mayweather in 2013 and lost via a majority decision.

While Mayweather said just last month that he believes a fight between himself and McGregor can happen, the obstacles remain. UFC president Dana White recently told TMZ there’s been no movement regarding talks for the fight, adding that Conor’s next fight will be in the UFC.
