Eric Bobo is known as a member of Cypress Hill, but he’s been a veteran with a long history in the music industry.
During a recent interview with LatiNation, he talks about his history in music and how he came to join Cypress Hill and the Beastie Boys.
The percussionist made his first public appearance at the age of 5, performing on stage with his father, Latin Jazz legend Willie Bobo. By 15, his father passed away and Eric took over his Latin jazz Band while still in high school… but found his calling when he joined the Beastie Boys after an audition.
Eventually, Bobo met Cypress Hill while on tour and became a member of the Hill.
