Dubai to Debut First Passenger Drones This Summer

Dubai Passenger Drones

Following news of Uber’s flying car project, it appears Dubai is already set to roll out pilot-free passenger drones this summer.

In the video above, we get a first look at the Ehang 184, an auto-flying passenger drone that will allow residents to bypass city traffic… by flying over it. Debuting at CES in 2016, the electric drone can carry one passenger weighing up to 100kg, and according to Dubai’s Roads and Transportation Agency, will begin operation in July.

Once boarding the Ehang 184, passengers can select a destination and the drone autopilots to the location.
