Playboy Ditches Non-Nude Format, Brings Nudity Back

That was short-lived. After rolling out what it said would be their final nude issue in December 2015, Playboy brings back nudity to the magazine.

Hugh Hefner’s son, Cooper Hefner, announced the move on Twitter Monday (Feb. 13), tweeting: “I’ll be the first to admit that the way in which the magazine portrayed nudity was dated, but removing it entirely was a mistake.”

Pamela Anderson covered Playboy’s January/February 2016 issue, calling it the final nude issue, followed by its first non-nude issue in March 2016.

Now a year later, the March/April 2017 issue — which drops online and on newsstands Feb. 28 — brings back nudity. It will feature pictorials with March Playmate Elizabeth Elam, who graces the cover, and April Playmate Nina Daniele.

Also in the magazine, there’s an interview with actress Scarlett Johansson, a profile of CNN political commentator Van Jones, and an article on hip-hop duo Run the Jewels
