The Game has dodged jail time for assault charges, stemming from an altercation in 2015 where he punched an off-duty cop during a basketball game.

According to TMZ, the Compton rapper agreed to a plea deal where he would receive probation and community service, in exchange for pleading no contest. Specifically, he got three years of probation, and must complete 120 days of community service and 26 anger management courses.

Game originally pleaded not guilty in June 2015 and was facing up to three years in prison, if convicted.

In December 2015, the the off-duty officer, Onyebuchi Awaji, sued Game for $100,000 and won a default judgement after Game failed to show up in court.

It’s unclear if Game paid up.
