This is just sad! Shortly after Tom Brady led the New England Patriots to the greatest comeback in Super Bowl history on Sunday (Feb. 5), someone stole his jersey.
Apparently, sometime following the victory, after he changed into his street clothes, the white No. 12 jersey he wore on the field was stolen from his bag.
“The jersey… Yea, I put it in my bag, and then I came out, and it wasn’t there anymore,” Brady said during the postgame press conference. “It’s unfortunate, because that’s a nice piece of memorbilia. If it shows up on eBay somewhere, someone let me know, so, I can try to track that down.”
“It’s just such an exciting game and it’s an honor to be here,” he added.
According to NFL.com, Patriots owner Robert Kraft approached Brady just minutes after realizing his jersey was gone to give him a box of cigars. “Somebody stole my game jersey!” Brady told him.
“Are you serious?” Kraft replied, before Brady nodded. “Well, you better look online,” Kraft added.
The jersey would arguably be one of the most-sought after pieces of memorabilia in NFL history, after he worn his fifth Super Bowl ring and cemented himself as the GREATEST OF ALL TIME!
