What started out as a blow out ended in a historic comeback victory for Tom Brady and the New England Patriots, who became the Super Bowl LI champions on Sunday (Feb. 5).

Inside Houston’s NRG Stadium, Brady led the Pats to one of the most exciting fourth quarter rallies in Super Bowl history, coming back from a 28-3 deficit over the Atlanta Falcons… and winning 34-28 in overtime.

It was the first overtime ever in Super Bowl history.

“We all brought each other back,” Brady said after the game. “We never felt out of it. It was a tough battle. They have a great team. I give them a lot of credit. We just made a few more plays than them.”

The win gave Brady his fifth Super Bowl ring, the most for any NFL quarterback in league history. He dedicated the game to his mother, Galynn, who has been battling an undisclosed illness.
