Actor Shia LaBeouf was arrested at his anti-Trump protest site in New York this week, after getting into an altercation with another individual, reports TMZ.
The protest has been streamed live outside the Museum of the Moving Image since Inauguration Day, and was streaming when the arrest took place.
Apparently, Shia’s arrest stems from the altercation he had with an alleged white supremacist earlier this week, who began spewing racist commentary into the camera. However, video footage showed the actor running the man off the site by screaming “HE WILL NOT DIVIDE US” louder and louder in his face.
TMZ’s report says the man claims LaBeouf grabbed his scarf and scratched him while doing so, resulting in him going to the police.
Shia is being booked on a misdemeanor assault charge.
