Actor Miguel Ferrer died on Thursday (Jan. 19). He was 61 years old.
Reports say he passed at his home in Los Angeles following a battle with cancer.
Although Ferrer’s acting resume dates back to the 1980s, in recent years, he’s become best known for his role on CBS’ hit drama NCIS: Los Angeles, which issued a statement on Twitter, saying it had “lost a beloved family member.”

One of our favorite roles of Ferrer was his breakout role in 1987’s Robocop, playing Bob Morton, an ambitious and sleazy corporate climber who spearheads the Robocop program.
Ferrer is survived by his wife Lori, sons Lukas and Rafi and his brothers and sisters.
