Chicago Bears running back Jordan Howard set a new franchise record on Sunday (Jan. 1), breaking Matt Forte’s franchise single-season rookie rushing record.
Going into Sunday’s game, he was 61 yards shy of Forte’s mark, and set the new record before halftime against the Vikings when he rushed for 93 yards on 15 carries.
Howard closed out the season second place in rushing yard with 1,313, behind only Dallas Cowboys rookie Ezekiel Elliott. He also had 6 rushing touchdowns.
Despite Howard’s individual accomplishments, the Chicago Bears failed to reach the playoffs, going just 3-13.
