The controversial Martin Shkreli is back at it.
The pharmaceutical CEO took to Periscope on Friday (Dec. 23), claiming he now owns Lil Wayne’s long-delayed album, Tha Carter V.
“I have acquired, I would say, hip-hop’s most-sought-after album. I’ve acquired hip-hop’s most exclusive [LP],” he bragged, though a pricetag was not revealed.
While unconfirmed, Shkreli claimed it just fell “into his lap”, instead of him seeking out the purchase. “Let’s just say this thing fell into my lap,” he said. “But when you’re as handsome, good looking, smart, and wealthy as me, things just fall into your lap.”
Additionally, to prove his claims, Shkreli shared an unreleased snippet from the album, which you can listen to below.
Shkreli previously purchased Wu-Tang Clan’s one-of-one album, Once Upon a Time in Shaolin, for a reported $2 million.
He says Tha Carter V is “going to make Wu-Tang look irrelevant.”
