The Game

Is The Game ready to hang up the mic?

The Compton rap star recently said during a show in Russia that his next album will likely be his last.

During a show in Moscow over the weekend, Game revealed the news, according to Rap-Up, saying: “When I get back to L.A. I’m going straight to jail because I f*ckin’ had a fight with a police officer and sh*t. So, I’m gonna sit down for a minute and I’m gonna write my next album, which is probably gonna be my last album. It’s called Westside Story. It’s gonna be some ill sh*t. But I don’t even really give a f*ck about that, man. All I give a f*ck about is my music, my kids, my fans, and my family.”

“Westside Story” was the title of one of Game’s very first singles, which appears on his debut album, The Documentary and features 50 Cent.

It’s not the first time Game said he planned to retire. In the lead up to his 2008 album, LAX, he said multiple times that he would retire following the album’s release. But, the following year, he began work on The R.E.D. Album.

“Yea, I tried. That sh*t ain’t last too long, because you gotta keep the lights on, so you gotta get back out there and do your thing,” Game told us back in 2010.

Further details about Westside Story are currently unknown.
