Following news that actor Alan Thicke died Tuesday (Dec. 13) at the age of 69, his son Robin Thicke pays tribute to his father.
The singer took to Instagram, with a statement reflecting about the loss of his father.
“My father passed away today,” Thicke wrote. “He was the best man I ever knew. The best friend I ever had. Let’s all rejoice and celebrate the joy he brought to every room he was in. We love you Alan Thicke. Thank you for your love. Love, your grateful son.”
According to multiple reports, the actor suffered a heart attack while playing hockey with his 19-year-old son Carter.
During his career, Thicke starred on the hit series Growing Pains during the 1980s. Most recently, he made appearances on the NBC drama This Is Us and Netflix’s Fuller House.
