Actor Alan Thicke, best known as the dad in the 1980s sitcom Growing Pains, died this week at the age of 69.
According to multiple reports, the actor suffered a heart attack while playing hockey with his 19-year-old son Carter.
“The good thing was that he was beloved and he had closure,” Alan’s son Robin Thicke told the L.A. Times. “I saw him a few days ago and told him how much I loved and respected him.”
Alan worn a variety of hats during his long show business career, which continued into 2016. This year, he made appearances on the NBC drama This Is Us and Netflix’s Fuller House.
