Cypress Hill member Sen Dog has formed a hip-hop metal band, with a number of well-known rockers.
Dubbed Powerflow, the brand consists of former Fear Factory guitarist Christian Olde Wolbers, Rogelio Lozano of Downset, Billy Graziadei of Biohazard, and Fernando Schaefer from Brazilian band Worst.
Wolbers confirmed the news during an interview with The Ex Man podcast, while hinting at an upcoming tour.
“I just finished a record with Sen Dog from Cypress Hill. He’s doing a metal band — it’s like hardcore, metal, hip-hop all infused. We just wrote 14 songs,” he said. “He’s going to put it out if he is able to establish some tours and some work.”
Wolbers also said Powerflow could be the opening act for Prophets of Rage’s upcoming tour, a band made up of members of Rage Against the Machine and rappers B-Real and Chuck D.
Further details were unknown at press time.
