Big Syke

Big Syke, a member of the late Tupac’s Thug Life and Outlawz, died this week. He was just 48 years old.

According to TMZ, the rapper (real name: Tyruss Himes) was found dead at his home in Hawthorne, CA late Monday night (Dec. 5).

Specific details are unknown, but polices were the first on the scene, after responded to a call, followed by the arrival of the L.A. County Coroner. Currently, no foul play is suspected and Syke is believed to have died from natural causes.

TMZ reports that the rapper had a history of heart issues and obesity.

Big Syke was a longtime friend of Tupac, whom he met back in 1992. He joined Pac’s group Thug Life, and appeared on a number of tracks with the legendary rapper. Most notably, “All Eyez On Me” and “Picture Me Rollin'”, both of which appeared Tupac’s classic 1996 album, All Eyez ON Me.
