The partnership between Adidas and Parley for the Oceans continues, as they unveil their collaborative performance products: soccer jerseys and the first Ultra BOOST Uncaged Parley running shoe.
The soccer jerseys and UltraBOOST Uncaged Parley are the first apparel and footwear mass-produced with Parley Ocean Plastic. Both products are created with up-cycled marine plastic waste recovered via Parley interception and clean-up operations in coastal areas of the Maldives, with the goal of driving global awareness and comprehensive solutions to the threat of ocean plastic pollution.
The Ultra BOOST Uncaged Parley is limited to just 7,000 pairs, each of which features a knitted upper created with 95 percent Ocean Plastic and 5 percent recycled polyester. The laces, heel cap base material, heel webbing, heel lining and the sock-liner cover are made of recycled materials, while the design itself is inspired by ocean waves.
The collaboration produced jerseys for world-leading clubs Bayern Munich and Real Madrid, both are made from up-cycled marine plastic debris, and water-based environmentally friendly prints. They feature club logos, three stripes and sponsors’ logos in the same color for a unique look.
The Ultra BOOST Uncaged Parley drops later this month. For more info, visit Adidas.com.
