20 years after his tragic death, Tupac Shakur is among the nominees of the 2017 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.

The late rap icon is among 19 nominees for the 2017 class, alongside legendary acts such as Pearl Jam, Jane's Addiction, and Depeche Mode -- all of which are nominated in their first year of eligibility, reports the New York Times.

If Tupac is inducted, he will be just the sixth hip-hop act to enter the Hall. following Grandmaster Flash, Run-DMC, the Beastie Boys, Public Enemy, and N.W.A.

Others on the list include Janet Jackson and Chaka Khan, who are both on their second nomination.

This year's inductees will be announced in December, with the ceremony following in April at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center.
