Designer Ronnie Fieg teams up with New Balance for these new renditions of the shoe brand’s 997.5 silhouette.
The “Cyclades” colorway draws inspiration from a trip Fieg took to the Nammos resort in Mykonos, Greece, specifically from a photo he took while there, which is used in the insoles. It sports an orange forefoot that represents of the umbrellas, while a beige midfoot symbolizes the soft sand, and finally, the seafoam green on the heel mimics the waters of the Aegean Sea. On the upper, we see pigskin suede, while a white 998 ABZORB midsole completes the look.
The “Archipelago” plays on a similar theme, boasting a blue colorway, inspired by Aegean Sea. The “N” logo branding has been shaded in tropical seafoam, while pigskin suede has also been utilized on the upper. 3M accents are featured, in addition to a white 998 ABZORB midsole unit.
Each sneaker comes in custom packaging, alongside five sets of laces and a pair of KITH x Stance Mykonos Fusion Ankle Socks. Fieg’s New Balance Mykonos 997.5 collection drops Oct. 14 at KITH locations and online.
