Iconic guitar manufacturer Fender teams up with Hurley for a curated Fall 2016 capsule collection.
Inspired by the iconic tweed print of Fender’s amplifiers from the mid-1950s, as well as the music and surf culture of both brand’s roots, the capsule includes Hurley’s signature board shorts, sweatshirts, tees, beanies and hats, ranging from $20 to $70.
Highlights include the SRFGTR tee, which pays homage to artist Bob Perine’s “You Won’t Part With Yours Either” campaign. The tweed pattern featured on the patches and board shorts was inspired by founder Leo Fender’s travels. A popular pattern featured on luggage back in the ’50s, tweed was admired by Fender for its reputation as one of the toughest available fabrics.
