Sriracha sauce has become one of the most recognizable condiments in present day, especially over the last few years. After offering a brief look into how its made last year, Youtube channel Refinery29 delves into the history and process of making sriracha sauce at the Huy Fong Foods, Inc. factory.
At its factory in Irwindale, Calif., over 100 million pounds of red jalapeño-hybrid chili peppers are processed each year. After being mashed, vinegar, salt, garlic and sugar are added in to make the final sauce.
The recognizable green-topped bottles are also made in the factory. See the entire process in the video above.
