In addition to the higher-end PlayStation 4, codenamed “Neo”, Sony is also prepping a redesigned version of its standard PS4.
According to the Wall Street Journal, both new PlayStation consoles will make their debut during a press event on Sept. 7.
Sony CEO Andrew House first confirmed the PS4 “Neo” back in June, but news of a redesigned PS4 was not divulged until now.
An image of the new console popped up on Twitter. Sony usually rolls out a slim version of its PlayStation system a few years after the company debuts the original, and this appears to be the latest slim version.

Details, however, are currently unknown.
With Microsoft releasing the Xbox One S for $300, the PS4 slim version is expected to cost around the same.
Stay tuned for more info in the coming weeks.
