Nike hosted a celebration over the weekend for Team USA Basketball in Los Angeles at the Air Hangar.
Nearly 1,000 fans came out to show their love for the game, which featured special appearances from the likes of the Lakers’ own Nick Young, Cavaliers’ Kyrie Irving and Chicago Bulls’ Jimmy Butler.
The Drew League also hosted a game in the hangar, pitting BB4L against the Problems, before fans were offered the chance to test the Nike Elite and Hyperdunk 2016 sneakers on an interactive half court that allowed fans to capture their dunk via a 14-camera, Matrix-style set up.
Chance the Rapper surprised fans with a surprise performance, before Kyrie, Butler and company judged a high-flying dunk contest with the winner driving away in an Aston Martin. The winner: Michael Purdie with a double-handed, two-ball dunk.
