FOX is bringing back the X-Men to TV.
According to Variety, the network has green-lit a pilot for a new X-Men action-adventure series.
Written and produced by Matt Nix, the untitled series will focus on two ordinary parents who are forced to flee their home from a hostile government after discovering their children possess mutant powers. The family later joins up with an underground network of mutants and must fight to survive.
Both 20th Century Fox Television and Marvel Television will co-produce the series, while Nix will be joined by Bryan Singer, Lauren Shuler Donner, Simon Kinberg, plus Marvel’s Jeph Loeb and Jim Chory as executive producers.
