In response to last week’s tragic events, San Diego-bred Phabo drops a new track, perfectly capturing his feelings toward the issues plaguing our nation, titled “Coloured”.
According to his camp, the singer originally wrote the song two years ago, based on the events surrounding Trayvon Martin and Sean Bell. But, with the shooting deaths of Alton Sterling and Philando Castile at the hands of police, Phabo felt it was time to unleash this politically-charged track.
“Phabo originally wrote it as a call to action. He felt that this generation has never experienced tragedies of such magnitude and now was the correct time to spark a revolution based on awareness of right and wrong,” a rep for Phabo says.
