Adding to an already incredible year, where they celebrated 50 years, Vans welcomes Oklahoma-native Kyle Walker to the signature footwear ranks with his debut model, the Kyle Walker Pro featuring the brand’s new Wafflecup.

The new sneaker features the brand’s new Wafflecup technology, which delovers the support and stability of a cupsole shoe without sacrificing the boardfeel and grip vulcanized Vans skate shoes are revered.

“I wanted my shoe to be simple, but it’s funny because it didn’t come out simple at all — I made my insole way thicker, as well as the tongue, and with the Wafflecup sole, there’s a lot more cushioning in my shoe than today’s standard,” Walker says of his signature shoe. “I was going for comfort — it grips well, and it skates great right out the box. I’m happy with it, for sure.”

In addition to the Vans Wafflecup, the Kyle Walker Pro also sports other technologies, such as Duracap rubber underlays in high-wear areas and Vans’ Ultracush HD sockliners to add superior levels of cushioning.

The Vans Kyle Walker Pro drops July 9 in four colorways, both online and at Vans Pro Skate dealers.
