Jacksonville Jaguars running back Denard Robinson was found asleep at the wheel by authorities as his car was sinking into a retention pond in Jacksonville, FL this weekend.
Reports said the NFL player was asleep, and a female was also sleeping in the passenger seat of his Chevy Impala when police officers approached the car early Sunday (July 3). Both had to be assisted out of the vehicle.
Despite the odd situation, police determined that Robinson was not impaired, so no DUI charges were filed against him. However, the 25-year-old’s car was totaled.
Robinson acknowledged the incident in a tweet Tuesday, saying he “should not have been driving that late or when I was that tired.”
