Designer Creates Jerseys Inspired by Hip-Hop Albums

PVTSO, founded by designer Patso Dmitrov, offers a look at a range of basketball jerseys, inspired by popular hip-hop albums.

The capsule features jerseys inspired by Drake's VIEWS, Chance The Rapper's Acid Rap, Frank Ocean's Channel Orange, Nas' Illmatic, and Freddie Gibbs and Madlib's joint project, Pinata -- each borrowing the color schemes and motifs from the albums' covers.

Fans are already clamoring for a chance to cop one, but Dmitrov had no intentions of releasing the jerseys initially, though the demand has changed his mind.

"The demand for the jerseys was crazy," Dmitrov told COMPLEX. "I received over 200 emails in less than 24 hours with people asking me how and where can they get one. At that time, I had no plan to actually make them, but after seeing how much people wanted them, I decided to try and see what I can do to make it happen."

The Drake "VIEWS" jersey went up for sale at the PVTSO website for $120 USD (with shipping on June 10). The others are expected to follow soon.
