Marvel has offered an update on one of their next films — Thor: Ragnarok.
The company has revealed that actors Karl Urban, Cate Blanchett, Tessa Thompson and Jeff Goldblum have been added to the cast.
Blanchett is tapped to play the villain Hela, the daughter of Loki and ruler of the realms of the dead; Goldblum will play game-playing elder known as the Grandmaster; Thompson joins as Valkyrie, the Asgardian warrior-goddess; and Urban plays Skurge, the executioner and servant of Hela, who wields a double-bladed axe.
Also, as previously confirmed, Mark Ruffalo will join Chris Hemsworth to portray Bruce Banner and The Hulk. And, Tom Hiddleston returns as Thor’s brother Loki, Idris Elba as the gatekeeper Heimdall, and Anthony Hopkins as Odin, Thor’s father and ruler of Asgard.
Thor: Ragnarok is set for release Nov. 3, 2017.
