Google has introduced a brand new chat/text messaging app called Allo.
Compatible for either iOS or Android, the app is very different from Google Hangouts, tying it to your phone number rather than your Google account… with more options. You can use your fingers to shrink or enlarge your text with a feature Google calls “WhisperShout” or even doodle on photos before sending them, similar to Snapchat’s drawing feature.
Google also introduces a built-in search assistant, like Siri, where you can ask it to book restaurant reservations, conduct Google searches and more.
Allo is expected to roll out this summer.
