Prophets of Rage

New supergroup alert! Public Enemy frontman Chuck D, Cypress Hill’s B-Real and rock group Rage Against the Machine are all coming together to form a supergroup┬ácalled Prophets of Rage.

This week, a cryptic website popped up at ProphetsofRage.com, but didn’t offer many clues about what it was all about, aside from a logo, email subscription and a countdown with the hashtag: #TakeThePowerBack.

The hashtag is a song from Rage’s 1992 self-titled studio debut, so most fans speculated that it was the return of the rock group.┬áPosters with the same logo also began popping up around Los Angeles over the last few days.

It remained a mystery until a source revealed the news to to Billboard, explaining that the band (minus singer Zack de la Rocha) is teaming up with Chuck D and B-Real to perform as a group, with a concert debut set for June 3 at the Hollywood Palladium.

Stay tuned…
