After three tries, the gun George Zimmerman used in the 2012 shooting death of Trayvon Martin has sold.

According to The Orlando Sentinel, the gun sold for over $138,900 on Wednesday (May 18).

TMZ says seven users placed bids on the Kel-Tec PF-9 pistol, but that number has since been corrected to nine users bidding over 180 times on the weapon.

The winner will remain anonymous, unless they choose to come forward.

In a statement, Zimmerman wrote, "First and foremost, I would like to thank and give the glory to God for a successful auction that has raised funds for several worthy causes."
