Nike reinvents the iconic Air Max 90 for the golf course, via this new model called the Air Zoom 90 IT.
The shoe was inspired by Nike athlete Rory McIlroy’s love for the Air Max 90, and carries the same look as Tinker Hatfield’s original design, but with a few modifications. It ditches the Air Max’s usual Max Air bubble in favor of encapsulated Zoom cushioning, while the sole is updated with a specially designed rubber outsole that provides traction on the course.
“I wear Air Max casually off the golf course all the time,” McIlroy says. “Making it into a golf shoe really brings something new to the golf course. Not only is it different and very cool but it also performs well, giving me the comfort, traction and stability that I need.”
The Nike Air Zoom 90 IT launched in a “black/white” colorway, with more colorways to come. You can order a pair now at Nike.com.
