Following the backlash he received for mocking a teen, who suffers from autism, 50 Cent offers an apology.
In you missed it, 50 took to social media recently to make fun of a 19-year-old man named Andrew Farrell, who works as a janitor at Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport. In a video clip, the rapper accused the teen of being “high as a motherf*cker”, not knowing about his disability.
Though 50 deleted the video, there was outrage over his insensitive remarks.
“While the incident at the airport resulted from an unfortunate misunderstanding, I am truly sorry for offending the young man,” 50 Cent told Page Six. “It was certainly not my intent to insult him or the disability community, which is a source of great strength in America. I have apologized personally to him and his family.”
While the teen’s family threatened to sue, a family attorney tells Page Six that they only want “a sincere apology from Mr. Jackson”.
