Swedish actress Alicia Vikander has been tapped to star in the upcoming Tomb Raider reboot, reports The Hollywood Reporter.
The film will tell the story of a young and untested Lara Croft, who fights to survive her first adventure.
Roar Uthaug (The Wave) has been chosen to direct, while MGM and Warner Bros. are co-producing the film, with MGM overseeing production.
You may recognize Vikander, who won an Oscar for The Danish Girl, as well as her performance in the critically acclaimed 2015 Ex Machina, where she plays an A.I. named Ava.
