New Jersey rapper P-Dice, a former member of Fetty Wap’s Remy Boyz group, was arrested last week on an attempted murder charge.
According to The Record, the 29-year-old rapper (real name: Justin Pope) was charged in connection with a February shooting, where a 7-year-old was struck by a stray bullet while inside his apartment in Paterson, NJ.
While the circumstances surrounding the shooting are unknown, police say gunfire is common on the notorious Rosa Parks Blvd. in Paterson. Furthermore, police said there was no indication that P-Dice was trying to shoot anyone inside the apartment.
In addition to attempted murder, P-Dice has been charged with weapons offenses and possession of a defaced firearm.
P-Dice was previously a member of Fetty Wap’s Remy Boyz group, and most famously appears as a featured artist on the hit single, “679”, which peaked at No. 4 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
However, as Fetty Wap rose to fame, he and P-Dice had a falling out.
