Birdman was set to appear on Power 105’s The Breakfast Club on Friday morning (April 22), but instead confronted the three hosts and walked out.
Captured on video, the hip-hop mogul walked into the studio before the show even starts and warns DJ Envy, Charlamagne Tha God and Angela Yee to respect him.
“I wanna start this sh*t off straight, telling all three of y’all: Stop playing with my name,” Birdman says. “Stop playing with my f*cking name, period. Stop playing with my name, I ain’t gonna say it again… N*gga, when my name come up, respect it. All three of y’all.”
When the show finally began taping, host Charlamagne immediately began asking him about the confrontation. “He done cursed us out. Get it off your chest Birdman. I don’t understand the anger,” he began.
“I said it already. I did it already,” Birdman replied, to which Charlamagne asked: “So, why come here?”
“I wanted to talk to you like a man in your face. I knew a few places you was at. I coulda pulled up, but I ain’t thought that was gangsta. I wanted to come look you in the face like a man and tell you how I feel.”
The hostility seems to stem from Trick Daddy and Rick Ross’ previous Breakfast Club interviews, where Birdman and his business tactics were discussed … with both artists offering their take. When asked if he had confronted either artist, Birdman deflected the question, telling Charlamagne: “I’m pulling up on you, n*gga.”
Shortly after, Birdman decided to end the interview, saying: “I ain’t got no more talking”.
