1990s rap trio, Digable Planets, have announced an upcoming reunion tour, reports OkayPlayer.
The trio (consisting of Butterfly, Doodlebug and Ladybug Mecca) are set to hit the road this summer, with their first show coming on May 28th at the Sasquatch Music Festival in George, WA.
From there, they will take a break, before heading back out on July 2nd for the Essence Festival in New Orleans, then off to the Pitchfork Festival in Chicago on July 16, and then a number of smaller shows in Cincinnati, Atlanta, Nashville and DC. The final show will be on Aug. 18 at Pioneer Park in Salt Lake City, UT.
There’s no word if Digable Planets will perform new material, but luckily, they have a catalog of music fans should enjoy.
The trio shot to fame in the early 1990s with their debut album, Reachin’, which included their breakout single, “Rebirth of Slick (Cool Like Dat)”. They followed up with a second called called Blowout Comb in 1994, before breaking up a year later, citing “creative differences”.
Since then, they’ve returned for a string of reunion shows.
