Young Thug has become a star in hip-hop, but he’s had some guidance to get to this point thus far. One individual helping him navigate is music industry veteran, Lyor Cohen.
Founder of indie label 300 Entertainment, he’s signed Thugger, and continues to advise him… as we see in the latest episode of CNBC’s Follow The Leader.
In the clip, the rapper argues with Cohen, who is trying to convince him to do more interviews.”I understand that you’re shy,” he tells Thugger. “You don’t like doing it. But the fact of the matter is, your fans actually want to hear from you.”
Cohen was hospitalized over the weekend, after suffering a pulmonary embolism. He’s currently recovering.
“[Cohen] is currently being treated and in stable condition at a local hospital,” 300 Entertainment said in a statement. “He is expected to make a full recovery and will be back in action very soon. Lyor, his family, and all at 300 Entertainment would like to thank everyone for their continued love and support.”
