Though Captain America: Civil is still a month away, news of the next Avengers installment, dubbed Infinity War, is a big topic.
We’ve got word that the film will see the introduction of some big names into the fold: the Guardians of the Galaxy. The Russo Brothers are on deck to direct both Part 1 and Part 2, and recently confirmed that Star-Lord will be appearing.
“The movies are intended to be a culmination of everything that’s happened before in the MCU, so you don’t want to get into spoilers, but I’m a big fan of what James Gunn has done. [Joe Russo and I] are both big fans of what James Gunn has done. Star-Lord is a fantastic character and Chris Pratt is an awesome performer so you’d be very excited,” Joe Russo revealed to ComicBook.com.
He also went on to tease Thor’s involvement, adding: “I’m excited to work with Thor. They’re doing some really interesting stuff with Ragnarok and where he’s gonna be at the beginning of Infinity War is gonna be a very interesting place and I think very profound. I think he’s gonna have a real emotional motivation after that.”
Captain America: Civil War hits theaters May 6, while Avengers: Infinity War Parts I and II are currently slated for May 4, 2018 and May 3, 2019 releases, respectively.
