Marcus Vick, the brother of quarterback Michael Vick, has been charged with assaulting a police officer.
According to ESPN, the former NFL player attempted to flee from officers who were arresting him on a contempt charge in Newport News, VA.
In a statement, local police said they were responding to a report of a wanted person on Sunday (April 3) and found Vick at the business. When an officer tried to arrest him, he pushed the officer and fled.
However, Vick was eventually caught… and subsequently arrested.
Vick is a former Virginia Tech quarterback, who went undrafted, but was picked up by the Miami Dolphins in 2006. His NFL career was brief, and he appeared in just one game.
His brother Michael would go on to become a star, but got into trouble in 2007, when he pleaded guilty for his role in a dogfighting ring… before eventually returning to the NFL.
