N.O.R.E. recently declared Michael Jordan “a hater of hip-hop” while recalling an interaction with him during a 2002 party in New York City.
The rapper claims MJ was disrespectful to the rappers in the party… and even went as far as saying “F*ck rap”.
After the story spread, Jordan’s longtime rep, Estee Portnoy, released a statement to TMZ, calling it B.S.
“MJ wasn’t at this party, doesn’t know N.O.R.E., and is a fan of ALL music,” she said, adding: “Drake is in his brand, and Nelly is a partner of his with the Charlotte Hornets.”
Despite the denial, N.O.R.E. doesn’t like to be called a liar, and found images from of the Christmas party he was referring to… and low and behold, Jordan is there. It was Mariah Carey’s 2002 Charm Bracelet album release party, and not the Def Jam Christmas Party that N.O.R.E. first said.

N.O.R.E. isn’t the first rapper to recall a not-so-nice run-in with MJ. Back in 2009, Chamillionaire told his own… in which Jordan denied him when asking for a photo. It wasn’t the rejection that Cham was upset about… it was the way he did it — cursing him out in front of a number of people.
