Honda is set to debut a prototype of its upcoming five-door Civic Hatchback at the upcoming New York Auto Show, but before then, here’s a first look.

Likely what we’d expect from the 2017 production model (set to be unveiled later this year), the prototype Civic sports the stylish lines of the sedan and coupe with a similar front fascia and LED headlamps, but with new fenders, two tailgate-mounted spoilers and a center-mounted dual exhaust system.

Specs are unknown, but the production model is said to be built on the same platform as the sedan, sporting a turbocharged 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine, good for 174 horsepower and 162 pound-feet of torque.
